Middle East Centre for Training and Development (MECTD)
participated in the Reclaiming Space: Civil Society Strategy and Engagement
Forum in Geneva, Switzerland, from 7–9 July 2026. The Forum brought together
civil society organizations and migration stakeholders to discuss emerging
migration priorities through a civil society-led, multi-stakeholder approach,
with a strong focus on capacity building for emerging leaders and grassroots
organizations.
Discussions reflected on the outcomes of the recent
International Migration Review Forum (IMRF), strengthening civil society
advocacy, engagement with policymakers, and collaboration across global
networks. The Forum also provided practical insights into multilateral
diplomacy through engagement with Permanent Representatives to the United
Nations in Geneva.
