On 24 April 2026, the Middle East Centre for Training and Development presented a study at the ILO STREAM Research Side Event under the South-4-Care Learning Hub, “Caring Across Borders for Those Who Care: Rethinking Social Protection for Migrant Domestic Workers in the South Asia–GCC Corridor held in Sri Lanka. Jointly conducted with the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences of BITS Pilani Dubai Campus, the draft study focused on Nepal’s Domestic Workers, Labour Markets, and the Rise of Care-Based Services in the UAE.
