On the 2nd July 2024, Mrs. Dina Habib, Migration Researcher at the Middle East Centre for Training and Development participated in the “Multi-stakeholder Consultation for the Second Regional Review of the Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration in the Arab Region” which was held in Cairo, Egypt.
The consultation aimed to bring together multiple stakeholders including civil society organizations, international organizations, private sector, media, trade unions, researchers and academics to discuss and elaborate on the prominent thematic issues of migration within the Arab region and the implementation of the Global Compact on Migration in the region. Joint statements from the multi-stakeholder consultation was then presented to governments and heads of state the following days from 3-4th July 2024 at the Second Regional Review of the Global Compact on Migration in the Arab Region which was held at the Arab League in Cairo, Egypt.
